~BODIES

The Museum of Science over in Tampa opened up a special exhibit yesterday called Bodies. They have a couple of dozen specially preserved corpses from China that have been preserved and dissected so that you can see their organs.

I'm gonna go over tomorrow and see it. Looks neat. Just the preservation process itself sounds fascinating. The way the newspaper described the process the bodies are impregnated with a plasticised resin rather than formalin so that the tissue is sort of fossilized, similar to the mummification process that the Egyptian mummies were preserved. Sort of a latter day King Tut I guess.

Interesting.
