My favorite gung ho movie was on TV last night - Green Beret. Interesting that this is perhaps the sole pro-American movie in a whole culture of Americans-are-badguys movies... but Wayne has a whole bunch of guys like George Takei (Sulu on Star Trek who took time off of his money maker to follow the Duke in starring in this) Face it... my generation saw Duke as The Man they wanted to be when they grew up. I think that it still makes a pretty good movie for todays generation.
