A funeral home in Rochester, NY has been discovered to be a part of a nation wide conspiracy to harvest human body parts... and replace the parts in the cadavers with PVC and other junk for the sake of the burials... for the squeamish relatives I guess. Now, isn't this pretty? Apparently it is a very big operation... lots of hospitals will pony up big bucks for extra body parts. Just what we need... crooked doctors and crooked funeral homes. Good grief! Harvesting body parts from your dead Aunt Tillie. Jeez. This is ethical science? Here's the link.

In between blasts of Warren Zevon and Tom Waits I mostly like to listen to old classical. Mozart... stuff like that. But I've got some modern classical. I'm a big fan of of Phillip Glass. But a lot of the new stuff is like new jazz.. deliberately bad. I mean... who listens to that atonal stuff? It's like drilling teeth mostly.

But.. I got a copy of Garrett Fisher's "The Passion of Saint Thomas More" and oooh baby! That's is the stuff! Amazon has little snippets that you can listen to to decide if you want it. Believe me, you want it.

A school girl went and got samples of water at all the local fast food joints in Tampa for a science fair project then compared the bacteria counts between the water and the toilet water and f ound that the water from the toilet is actualy cleaner. Hmmm! Go read it. And remember, have it your way.

My friend Tom Leete and I have had an ongoing "conversation" about the Patriot Act ever since the thing was first written. Tommy has the perfectly reasonable idea that the government needs the expanded powers to fight terrorism, and that I am an old curmudgeon for not trusting them.

Well, here we go. The government is protecting me from the evil empire created by a bunch of nuns. Just think... we are being protected by crack operators like this. Man. them bumblers at Al Quida must have Suleman the Magnificent spinning in his grave. On to Vienna, right?
